Where do you eat?

We've considerably changed the location. TV dinners have become the norm, not when family visits, of course. In the good old days, 'family' dinner was sacrosanct. Many times hubby worked late, and I had meetings. Retirement brings changes, too.

In the meantime, with our cat issues: Dorah has her own food, Annabelle is on diet food, Buster has to have his wet food laced with his Rx in the evening. Annabelle often offers to help everyone finish their food, except for Daisy. Daisy thinks wet food is for chumps, and tries to cover it up as if it is poo. She and Buster are a good size, not too fat. It is complicated!

Breakfast in bed. Since Buster bullies her.

Dinner by the fire with his special medication!

Somebody likes to eat on the table. She likes to finish up any jam someone leaves on his plate. She likes to 'read' the newspaper, too.

Where critters eat is an interesting point of view! The special Robin suet has gone to the birds... Grackles. I moved it, to get a better photo of them. I'd made some suet, to put into Fat Head  and thought I might as well hang up the rest of the stuff in the pot.

The crows have taken to the deer food. They are shy. Just a small movement at the window and they are gone! I love watching them hop.

I love my Fat Head. So do the woodpeckers.

We still have (at least) a pair of robins. They like the sumac berries.

Hello, your kitties are all so cute. I like the one sitting on the table. Those blackbirds can be piggies. I love the woodpecker and the sweet robins. Your fathead feeder is cool. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy and have a happy weekend!

Love all your photos!
I hang suet feeders to attract Woodpeckers, but I have seen a variety of birds coming to them. Cardinals seem to really enjoy it.

Heheh, this very morning I was watching a fledgeling gull (first of the season) trying to work out a grub from under tiles on the roof opposite - a lot of birds like that roof; it grows stuff. Jasper Cat and Jade Dog used to eat side by side near the kitchen door - in all their years I don't recall them invading each other's bowls; but they did collude to steal the cooked chook which was resting on the stove top (back in the days when I still took white meat). Am not sure who got the most of it, but they both looked pretty stuffed when I returned to the room!!! Only the wishbone and ribs were left - even the stuffing gone... Not casting aspersions or anything, but Jade wasn't that tall. Jus' sayin'...

Am so looking forward to meeting the furmily. YAM xx

Fat Head doesn't look happy about that woodpecker!

I'm surprised a cat would go for jam.

Once we had 5 cats, including Tom, a lovely gentle ginger stray. His plate was black, and he waited like a perfect gentleman till all the others had finished, then came closer to have his. The other day there was a blackbird, hanging upside down, eating a cherry tomato. It was a wonder the poor plant stayed upright. Love your eating processions, both in and outside. Is this the year for the big "60"???

Love your Fat Head. I stopped putting out the suet as the starlings devoured it all.

You're getting very soft with TV dinners! Ho do you survive yard clean up on TV dinners?

You are feeding lots of "folks"! We have two dogs who need their bowls served across the kitchen from each other, a cat served up high on her own table so the dogs don't barge in and lick the platter clean, and lots of birds but we let them sort things out for themselves. The two of us eat mostly at the table together.
I love your suet feeder!

This is a fun post and enjoyed reading about the eating arrangement with your kitties, and enjoyed all the photos. Ours has changed depending on where we have been in life. Now in retirement we are more eat at home people and depending on what I serve up we alternate between the kitchen table and the TV room. If we have company we will go into the dining room.

It can be tricky to get the animals to eat their own food and take their medicines. I love the deer and the birds.
