My snowwoman is now an alien.
The flying squirrel has managed to make it through the recent cold snap. It makes a lovely Camera Critter #49!
And the sun shines on a sparkling skiff of snow that fell in the early morning.
And Oliver is trying to go fishing. The goldfish, about 4 years old and experienced (with 3 cats), are nonplussed.

the flying squirrel looks as though it has enough fat reserves to last through a very long winter... lovely photos
It's true! Part of it is its 'flying' flaps, though. Those folds of skin & fur that allow it to truly glide, but not fly.
Silly snowman! I like him.
It is nice to see some fo the wildlife returning - the joys of the changing season.
Oh Oliver...want some help there...I can lift the lid while you reach in...but you gotta promise to share:)
Dear Bruce, I would be happy to share. I have two feline siblings, but they are on their own and haven't offered to share. In fact, my sister, Sady, tends to steal my prey. I do her the favour back, too!
Hugs,
Oliver
that flying squirrel is awesome! Our kitties used to drink our fishtank water.
One of our cats used to sleep on top of the gerbil cage. It had to be attached to the table with bungee cords, for a reason! Fortunately, I was there when he pulled the cage off the table, before the bungee cords. All very long ago now. They have all gone to meet their Maker now!
