Out to lunch

It's rather exciting, living life vicariously. Our Ottawa grandies are growing. Me, not so much! 😏

Jordan, Aster, me, Caitlin

🎓  Our eldest grandie, Jordan, had been accepted to Carleton University (early acceptance in both astrophysics and aeronautics), and yesterday McMaster and Queens accepted her. We are so proud. Papa went to Carleton and is an encryption engineer. Mamma is a Hydrogeologist (Waterloo, M. Sc.). They will visit McMaster and Queens during March Break to check out the campuses.

😎  My client cancelled, and what with all the angst around tariffs, we wanted a treat.

Poor Grampa needs new glasses. His prescription sunglasses were the best bet for the TV.

Happy Grampa was able to watch curling on the TV bar! This is one of his hobbies.

I am showing off my new mitts and scarf. These are from the Maritime Tartan Company. Shop 🇨🇦  Canadian!

📺 We've begun a new TV series. If ever you want to understand more about South Africa, institutional racism, and apartheid, this is the murder mystery for you. There are 8 episodes, I read. It's quite lusty, shall we say.

The scenery is amazing. At first I thought it was New Zealand, but not so.

"When investigative journalist Edie Hansen's estranged brother is murdered in his home, she's drawn into the dark underbelly of Cape Town. With her brother's children as prime suspects, she clashes with veteran detective Forty Bell."

Dani was happy enough to be accepted at Carleton that she didn’t bother with other places. At least I think so. Oddly enough, I did that Guelph many decades ago. They accepted me, and I was happy with that, and didn’t send in any other applications. I had planned to also apply to York and the Erindale campus of UofT, but didn’t bother.

Oh come on! Forty Bell as the name of the detective! I love your new mitts and scarf! And so proud you must be of your grandies! Tall young people show good genes and good nourishment. But brains too! Enjoy your South African mysteries!

We love spending time with our grandchildren. I is now a teacher in Las Vegas, her sister is in graduate school in Florida and our two grandsons are both in college. 1 is a senior and the other, a sophomore. They all get along so well, I wish we could see them more often.

I can't believe my granddaughter will be off to college too. Time does indeed fly. Your mitts and scarf is beautiful. Definitely buy Canadian! We're so ticked off with our regime.
