Toilet time! My anxiety causes me issues. It has since 2005. 'Nuff said! I'd love a bidet, but we don't have easy access to a power source in the bathroom. This was to be my solution. It was a good idea from Caitlin. It was the execution where I had my problem.
Sadly, I think the shut off tap is past its Best Before date. It is really tight to turn. When we had the toilet installed, it was shoddy work and took 4 people to actually get that done! It leaked for 8 days when we were away.
The 4th guy accidentally sliced through the toilet stack: The toilet issue (2019).
I disassembled my pieces and assembled them from the package. Downloading the manual helped.
I tried once and couldn't figure it out. I was sitting on a foot rest, to get down to the problem. With my knees there are issues getting up. I could not put it together, and the connection now leaked. I called one plumber, but they were working on a private home, have done since December and had no one available. I phoned another one, and got voice mail.
We went for a drive to get out and about.
We drove up highway #511 and found this. It's been awhile since we drove this way!
We popped in and they put us on the schedule for Monday.
Our plumber arrived Monday, earlier than expected. Glad I'd had to get dressed to put out garbage. The job is done. The shut off valve was good, except the last plumber turned it too tightly. We'll see how this works out for me.
Our for a drive
This is a snow fence, doing its job. Nearly time to remove this, as well.
This is what our wetlands look like!
I really like these buildings.
Can you see? The snowmobile track is closed. They just have to remove the markers.
Big Rideau, and other big bodies of water, still icy in parts.
We are ready for spring!

Hello,
It is hard to find good workers and plumbers charge a lot for their work. The views of the river are pretty. Take care, have a great day!
A friend loves her bidet attachment. I just wonder about how cold the water would be, though. So glad you got plumbing help, rather than doing it all yourself.
The rooflines on that house are crazy, while I think it is fascinating, I would not want to be the guy reshingling it!
Isn't it a relief to see the ice begin to get out? I always feel that it isn't spring till that happens!
Our toilets gave us problems for years. We finally replaced both last year and all has been hunky dory ever since.
Hi Jenn...you amaze me with all the things you can do. Lovely pictures of the country side. Sun is shining bright here today, but it won't be long till we will be way too HOT. Enjoy this gorgeous day.

Oh yes! I got used to these trigger bidets in India... in the van I have taken to using biodegradable wipes as the nearest alternative. Nothing beats that extra clean feeling! YAM xx
It feels like spring won't be coming much this week.
I do hope the toilet issue is resolved. So much.
And thank you for the images of your trip out and about - I agree with you about those houses.
Okay, you're ready for spring but is spring ready for you?
