Be careful out there, people. There are outbreaks in congregate settings.
This was funny!
The birds have been fun to watch.
When I arose Saturday morning, our pair were sleeping under the tree in safety. We don't often get predators around the house. They know human homes can be trouble. The one on the right stood up just as I opened the door for the photo.
Down in the water. This kid was rescued by police and brought to safety. The ice is so thin in spots. The parent gave Smiths Falls Police permission to post this as a public service.

Trump acts like the insurrection was a garden party. He's an idiot, a scary idiot. Love the bird pictures, I never get good ones because I don't have a telephoto lens.
The birds are fun to watch!
Take care, have a wonderful week ahead.
It was nice to see the bright pics of that patch with the deer. Alas, it is overcast again this morning.
It sounds like you've had some interesting wildlife sightings! The fisher and the turkey must have been quite a surprise. I'm glad to hear the kid was rescued from the thin ice. Always a reminder to be cautious in nature. I just shared a new post; let me know what you think. Have a lovely weekend ahead.
Love your critters as ever. That rescue on video was amazing. So glad they all got out. I'm freezing just thinking of how cold they must have been! My friend's husband who is in a "rehab/nursing' home now with cancer has Covid now. She says it's a mild case. Once it starts in those facilities, everyone will get it. Sad.
The only birds I have been seeing are Sparrows and Starlings and not even many of those. Love seeing your deer.
What do you think the plane with the crazy flight pattern was up to?
I love seeing different birds. I don't get a lot of different birds around here.
Covid has been on the rise here since early Fall. Mask and hand sanitizer and staying away from people helps, I wish we didn't have so many medical appointments.
the turkey is a large bird so when it takes of you notice. they make a lot of noise.
Nice rescue footage. Hope the kid is grounded for a LONG time. Linda in Kansas
Wonderful to see this rescue of the boy who fell through the ice. The caring comments of comfort from the rescuers was very heartwarming. Thanks for sharing and also for taking us on the walk through your property. Always enjoyable.
Ahhh, RSV, Covid, Norovirus, and other things are going around here too. It makes for a good excuse to stay home if I can.
Thank goodness the boy was rescued that fell through the ice. In our area there are small man made places that are made into skating rinks. We have too many rivers that would be unsafe to skate on.
I love the variety of wildlife you get to see!
I moved one of my trail cams and got to see the trail that the skunk, raccoons, and 'possum use right now. Not exactly exciting critters.
I did get a vid of a coyote taking a dump in the woods though. That was pretty funny!
Keep on, I look forward to these blog posts.
Turkeys are real characters.
I was under the weather for the better part of December into this month, and it didn't help getting hurt.
