Who has a horse in the race? 🐎

Well, my American friends, the ride begins here in Canada! Our PM has prorogued parliament. He shut 'er down, until March 24th. Unlike your race, between mango man and Kamala Harris, there is no comparison between these two, PMJT and the opposition leader. 

Pierre Poilievre (PP), our opposition leader, and our potential new Prime Minister, is warning about 'wokeism' leading to a 50% increase in hate crimes. We know that isn't the case. It is angry, ignorant, white Canadians attacking mosques and synagogues. Violence is down. There are some who call PP Republican lite. 

He's never had a job, other than in politics. He's a millionaire. He spent Christmas in India, doing heaven knows what. 

Our newspapers are reporting less than the horrific truth about what PP has been saying. There was an interview done by a misogynistic former professor, fired for refusing to use students' preferred gender and pronouns, as well as other issues.

The media didn't really take this apart. Rachel Gilmore was fired from a major news outlet did it justice.

 

Billionaires...

Conservatives are talking about cutting social programs to lower taxes:

CPP, Healthcare, Pharmacare, Dental Care, National Child Care Rebates, Women's equality, Abortion Care, Senior Care, Veteran's Care. They are questioning women's rights. There is a Conservative anti-abortion caucus.

OK, that's all. Back to your regularly scheduled programs. We shall all have to stick together. It is discouraging, but we cannot get discouraged. We can join advocacy groups and become allies. I support our women's shelter, a local LGBTQ advocacy group, our local food bank, amongst others.
