It's been warm. Now it is cold!
The trailcam caught me on my way to mulch the leaves. I love my tractor! I've been letting the grass grow, the tractor I've set on the highest cut. The deer like the grass.

The wetland looks lush and green. We had 2 mm rain Wednesday. I sauntered down early in the week in the above seasonal temperatures.
The highlight of my week was seeing the BARRED OWL <= (I've been noting its appearances). It was just above my head in a cedar beside the goldfish pond. It startled me, as I must have started it, and flew up to a tree. It sat, looked around, and (for those who don't want to see the video) looked straight at me, flew over my head behind me into the forest. It was such an experience.

The owl began in this tree, and I can see why. Little tunnels right at the base.

...lots of beauty, but our wetlands are very wet at the moment.
This morning, I read a blog which included an owl lifting a hat right off a woman's head.
❤️
Hello Jenn,
Love your owl and the deer! Take care, enjoy your weekend!
The owl, what a great surprise to see it , then to fly right over your head., a beautiful bird.
Great video capture of the barred owl, Jennifer. When it flew over your head, the bluejays all cried in alarm. I've never seen a barred owl here so appreciated your film.
Plenty of activity out your way!
What a thrill to see an owl. I've only ever seen one in the wild.
The owl is a beauty.
Lovely to see the owl.
Enjoyed seeing all of your photographs, thanks for sharing the videos too.
All the best Jan
You had a great experience with the owl.
Great owl video. Amazing how it can turn its head!
Well we knew it had to get colder...brr.
That owl would have startled me too Jenn, great video! It's cold here again too, frosty crunchy grass in the morning.
