COVID with Grandies – week 18

Here we are. Another work week begins. We've the grandies here for homeschooling. It is a blessed time.

We planned menus Wednesday night, prior to Grampa's Thursday shopping. Caitlin brought milk, juice, fresh veggies, for us on Saturday. (Veggies just don't keep in our fridges.)

We had a fine party for Grampa's birthday. Sunday, we had some splatty rain, which was better that the freezing rain they'd forecast.

The lightning petered out, which was fine. Lots in SW Ontario.

Last night, there were 238,000 without power. This morning, it's down to 185,000. Our Hydro workers were busy last night.

Our power went out a couple of times, so we fetched flashlights. We kept a nice fire going, as well. It went off nearby, and I could see the trucks leave when they were done.

Josephine and Isabelle are getting really disciplined about their work. There is a strict schedule, with two hours of schooling, a 45 minute break, then another two hours. There is an hour of independent work.

Google Classroom isn't too bad. They learned a lot in the spring, both teachers and students. Parents can sign in, to check on work. There are places to check unfinished work, work that is due.

Jos and I fetche trailcam cards. A young buck.

Sunday morning the goldfish pond was frozen over, with beads of hail on top of the ice. It's melted today.

Nutmeg snagged a good spot on the bed. This is where Isabelle will work.
Whoops, it is time to wake up the girls. Off I go.

The girls are lucky to have you (and you are equally lucky to have them). But how wonderful that all four of you will come out of the Covid months with good memories!

Your grandkids must love checking the trail cams with you. Seeing "Week 20" made me realize how long all of this has been going on. I'm glad that the schooling at home is going so well.

Hello,

We are having a few colder and windy days. I saw some ice in my bird bath, I have to plug in the heated bath for the birds. Neat capture of the buck. Enjoy your time with the girls, happy belated birthday to Grandpa. Take care, enjoy your day!
