We followed the trails of the South Wind Brigade. We stopped following here, at Rideau Ferry, since I knew that there would be a lot more coverage in the bigger towns and cities leading to Canada Day.I was so impressed with the ages of participants. They defy the myth that we seniors are a drain on the system.

We happened upon these folks, all retired educators, who are doing the same trek from Kingston to Ottawa. Neighbours happened to similarly be retired educators from Durham district, and prepared a lunch for the crews.
