Jack Frost came by for a visit!

First frost Oct. 8th, last year.

Our first frost, at -6 C. yesterday, was brisk.
Much later than other years, it seemed to take us by surprise.
I was bad and hadn't emptied the garden hoses. Me bad.
I put the hose in the sun
and the ice melted enough to drain.

Super "jack Frost photos! My garden hose regularly gets frozen up. I thought that's the way it was supposed to be!

We had a heavy frost yesterday morning. This morning it was rainy and it has turned into a cloudy day. Nice frosty photos.

Great shots, Jenn. I love the frost on the deck, it's so unexpectedly beautiful, but the pearls-and-jewels shot (#6 on the page) is absolutely stunning. It would be beautiful framed, or would make a lovely Christmas card. (Or both.)
