Small town life

We love living in a small town. A walk and a Sunday afternoon drive, bring all sorts of simple pleasures...as well as a poem!

Spring is coming,
there is no doubt,
rushing water
on our walkabout.

The season's promise
we all hold dear.
Memories
of yesteryear.

Of crocuses
and daffodils,
assuages all
the winter's ills.

Be prepared
for things to come,
for many of us
Spring has sprung!

Jenn: Nicely done, fun post with a neat poem. Assuages - do you what me to get out the dictionary? The closest I get to that word is sausages and I know that doesn't fit. Cute duck in the video.
