Still snowy and frozen!

We haven't seen King Charles in a few days. This is the last image I had. He's not been near the house! He devoured the last pie pumpkin beside the frogpond. This was prior to the ice storm.

I figured out that likely the security camera card is frozen. Rebooting it only established that it didn't see the memory card. I only managed these videos because the app was open, and it saved directly to my laptop. We expect 5 mm rain on the weekend. Oh, yikes.

I'll climb the ladder, and try remove and reinsert the card. Or maybe I'll wait until we thaw this weekend.

I've my camera on the tripod in the living room window. I don't know if it is a reception room or a snug. We've been enjoying Escape to the Country UK. It is so interesting. We'd never heard of barn conversions before, where the barn has those amazing huge beams.

The 'bird bath' has been popular. It is so much easier to clean this one in winter. They are thirsty birds!

They are pretty, mourning doves.
Goldfinches are cute, as well.

 A junco:
The elusive female cardinal appeared. The next photo shows them in parallel play eating!

The TV takes time to thaw in the day. Some channels work, others do not. I could get out the ladder and roof rake but with the thaw coming...

We went into town for our COVID shots. The trees are all bent, with the weight of snowflakes and ice.

After we had our vaccinations, we had our lunch, then watched the women's soccer game we had taped. They gave away the result, but it didn't matter. The tribute for Christine 'Sinc' Sinclair was amazing. A lovely woman, with a great spirit.

We'll see what today brings. A slow thaw is what I hope for.

I enjoy seeing the chilly scenes but definitely don't miss dealing with the clean up.

Hello,
Love the cute deer and all the birds.
It looks so cold there!
Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend!

The birds look all puffed up in the cold.
The snowy trees look lovely but I hope you get a nice thaw.

Yay for your vaccinations! Yes, hope a thaw will enable you to get to outdoor activities. The snow does look pretty on those evergreens...just like Christmas Card!

Your snow scenes are lovely. I like your bird variety. Our juncos stay on the ground. I can't remember the last time I saw one on a feeder

Still no birds at my feeders. Don't know what's going on. I hear them in the trees!

Ah, I'd sooner pass on the thaw, but you might like it for the trees' sakes.

A slow thaw? That's almost a tongue twister!! I would hope for a faster one, that's a lot of snow.According to yr.no, 8c, then 7c, but zero or minus most nights. And rain on Sunday, -4 over night on Monday.Which weather app do you use?Was that a Covid Booster, how many boosters do you get? Keep off that ladder !!!

We are still sweltering so your snowy scenes are very welcome. Stay safe and stay off the ladder till after the thaw please.
We really like Escape to the Country too - and usually like the Mystery House best.

You really got some snow. Hope your booster shots were kind to your body!

You've had some nasty weather. It's nasty when trees are damaged.

Wow -- that was one serious ice storm. It's gorgeous and treacherous. I know the birds and King Charles are grateful for whatever is put out for them.
