Nutmeg and the birds

Joseph has worked hard trying to convince Nutmeg to be a lap cat. I think he has finally done it! She doesn't last long, and sometimes just wants a bribe treat, but she is there.

We adopted them in Nov., 2019. I had to look it up!

Saturday, I gave it another shot. Get it?! Cinnamon was chipmunk watching.

The cardinal:

He is still tapping on the front window, angry that another cardinal is in the area. Silly twit.

He is still tapping on the window, trying to get at the other male bird.

Sunday, the female cardinal turned up! She is shy, and sat at the back of the feeder, eventually making her way round.

The mourning dove was happy to perch.

🧸Snuggle Bears
I surprised Joseph! They were in the dark – and he walked by several times. Finally, he had to put laundry away, and turned the light on. I heard him laugh aloud. I'm not sure why we have three cat masks!

🐸Moved another frog: Oct. 23 p.m.   –     1  =  66   Getting skittish... The wetland was getting full.
I popped it into the water.
I have to remember to repair the wood duck nesting box. After the ducks nested here, the bears (Momma and two cubs) tore it apart in June. Maybe it is a lost cause.

I love the shot of cardinal with his wings showing feathers! Just wow. Glad Mama Cardinal came to eat too! You have such variety of critters...from wood ducks to the frogs! And of course the spice-cats.

What beautiful cardinal photos! They do have a lot of personality, don't they :)

Sweet photos of Joseph with Nutmeg. I am glad he finally has his lap cat. Yes, treats work :) Also enjoyed the Cardinals. They are very entertaining, and persistent. Super photos! Pretty one of the dove amongst the changing leaves. The thought of Joseph finally seeing your masked Snuggle Bears made me smile. Happy at another rescued frog, and good luck with the duck box. Those bears are persistent too.

I think we also got Lacey in 2019. She's not exactly a lap cat either, but I may get 10 minutes every now and then, and it does usually involve a treat.

Well done on convincing Cinnamon that being a lap cat has its perks.
Love the cardinals too.

I really like your first photo of the male cardinal in the blue spruce - that could be a Christmas card. Nutmeg is such a beautiful kitty.

Oh my gosh! This is so funny! I've never seen a cardinal do anything like that. Actually, I don't see many cardinals in the area anymore.
