Theft of intellectual property
I contacted the Catholic school where my milkweed life cycle image was posted is their website – without my permission. I wrote about that Oct. 4th. The principal got back to me that day, he thanked me for contacting them, and said he would contact the gr. 1 teacher who is on Mat Leave. We shall see.
This other site has it on their page, as well. A moth information page riddled with ads. Ironically enough, this is what they post at the bottom of their page. They have not replied at all.

The chipmunk was around, through the window, out behind the horse chestnut tree. Tricky shot. It was terribly cute, though.

Loved seeing a porcupette! Many thanks for sharing all these lovely little critters. I realized that my life is now in its golden age, whatever that means. But there are lots of golden leaves about, so for now, that's the meaning for me! Creating gold is the next thing, not alchemy, but just beauty.

I'm sorry that your writing was used without your permission. I find that happens more than it should -- and I'm just glad you found out. I'd keep pressing if they don't remove it or at least credit you.

I thought that I heard some Juncos yesterday but I couldn't see them.
I'm glad to hear the school is trying to do the right thing. Shame on the other entity for not.
Well done on writing to those image thieves. I hope you get satisfactory answers. Do you intend to take it further if you don't.
I love your critters too - and your autumnal glory.
How dare they steal your words, keep at them. Do you have a trigger release cord? That might help the shakes on your camera. I haven't used my for a long time, but found when I did it helped a lot.Specially for those shots when you need a longer time set.

Internet images are a bit of a free for all. Apparently, there are ways to track your images. Frankly, I don't even want to know.

Hello Jenn :=) Wonderful wild life post I enjoyed seeing each creature in day and night pictures, and the Autumn trees. Well done for writing to the people responsible for using your photos without permission. What a cheek some individuals have. I hope you receive an apology and at least they give you credit.

It’s disappointing that the school doesn’t even have the courtesy to reply. Write to the Minister of Education if you don’t receive a response and copy your local MP. Having said that, I have no problem if people use images from my blog for educational purposes. I have received several requests for permission and have always granted it, but maybe there are scores of instances I don’t even know about.
Is there anyone this can be reported to other than to the thief themselves? I'm assuming the school will do the right thing eventually, but does the other page have a site host that might care?
Your animals are so much fun to see. Those birds! Ours have been scarce lately except for the sparrows.
