Richard Deer

 The cats have the right idea. I lightened the image in iPhoto, and you can see colours from the stained glass artwork reflected on Nutmeg's fur. It is a tricky photo, with the bright light behind them, but can you feel the warmth of the sun?! At this point it was pretty cold out. Something like -10 C.!

As I wrote yesterday, I have removed the bush that was blocking our view. Here is the before and afters!

I spotted a chickadee on the back deck. When I went out, it bonked its head on the glass trying to get out. I escorted it to the end, where the glass stops. It flew off happily. Maybe relieved! 

We have a winter storm warning. School busses are cancelled. A Colorado Low has come to visit. The trees are droopy, and I fear we may lose more branches. I worked indoors yesterday, repairing the cat tower.

I did not visit the trailcams yesterday. I decided to stay indoors. I still have to change the setting on this trailcam. It quits after 10 seconds, and I lose the action. 

Richard Deer has been around. I haven't seen Little Richard, though. Jan. 11, noon, by the frogpond camera.

Richard came for a visit out front. I can tell it is him, since that right, forward antler tine is divided. This was about 7:30 in the morning. I went and woke JB up, as I knew he's want to see see Richard. Jan. 11/23

Richard spend a long time out front. There are two more videos, which I shall post later. He is a handsome buck, with impressive antlers. I hope he drops them nearby!
