The cats have the right idea. I lightened the image in iPhoto, and you can see colours from the stained glass artwork reflected on Nutmeg's fur. It is a tricky photo, with the bright light behind them, but can you feel the warmth of the sun?! At this point it was pretty cold out. Something like -10 C.!
We have a winter storm warning. School busses are cancelled. A Colorado Low has come to visit. The trees are droopy, and I fear we may lose more branches. I worked indoors yesterday, repairing the cat tower.

Richard came for a visit out front. I can tell it is him, since that right, forward antler tine is divided. This was about 7:30 in the morning. I went and woke JB up, as I knew he's want to see see Richard. Jan. 11/23

Richard spend a long time out front. There are two more videos, which I shall post later. He is a handsome buck, with impressive antlers. I hope he drops them nearby!

...how can you tell the difference between Richard and Frank?
Tom, Their antlers are consistent year to year, and unique, for the most part, to the buck! I can tell by their behaviour, as well!
Cats have an amazing ability to find patches of sun.
I don’t think you'll be outside much today.
How interesting that the antlers are the same each year.
Nice photo of Nutmeg. Have to shovel a bit this morning we havent had much snow in Toronto

Richard is the King! Loved the red squirrel darting up in the previous vid too... (and read your other post - hold the faith m'dear!) YAM xx
Richard is gorgeous and I would happily wake up to see him (or any of his relatives). Stay safe.
I can't get over how close those deer come by, it's really lovely. I am not a fan of the beeswax covers. I have tried them, and wasn't impressed. Other's however rave about them.
You get more coverage of the deer with your cameras. You also seem to get quite a bit of daytime visits. Here they go through mostly at night and I just see tracks.
You really do get to spend your life with other creatures. How wonderful!
I'm glad your chickadee was OK and didn't get badly hurt.
It's amazing how cats love to lay in sunny spots ... can't say I blame them!
Aren't the antlers wonderful.
All the best Jan
You are the bird’s Angel, and to many others also :)
