70th birthday; part the 3rd

We began our day early in the hotel on Saturday. Sunrise was lovely. I should have snagged a photo about 5 minutes prior, but you get the picture!

JB brought me up some toast, breakfast was included. He ate downstairs, but met several other helpful men fetching breakfast for their partners. Next job, clearing frost off the windshield.

We had a fine time, just chillin'!

Then, grampa did another Close Eyes. This is Saturday's. He's changed it up to Shoeless Joe, and we sing a verse of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame!" Bryony was paying close attention. Cluny caught on right away!

This was Sunday's Close Eyes. The cutest little kitten hat for Cluny.

Funny story

We were sitting around the table. Josee pronounces aunt as "AWNT." So, as we were at the table having lunch, Cluny thought she wanted more apple cider. Jos told her to ask if Awnty Caitlin could fetch it for Cluny. Cluny called out loudly, "Wonty Caitlin... could we have more apple cider?" Her daddy thought she'd had enough of that sweet stuff, time for water, but by then it was too late.

I loudly proclaimed that 'What happens at Wonty Caitlin's stays at Wonty Caitlin's!"

I had hugs from Izzy, who was cold. (Both on Friday and Saturday!)

Indoor play

Outdoor Play

I sped up the first clip. Jesse went around and around!

Poor Bryony has a bit of a runny nose. She loves head butting her daddy, though. Just like a cat!

It was a wonderful visit. They are all great parents. We had so much fun. I cannot imagine travelling across the country with a 4 and 18 month old! It was amazing seeing them all together, as well!

I always wondered what my parents were thinking, travelling all over the place with four kids in tow! Lots of happy memories though... and these young ladies will hopefully be experiencing their equivalent. YAM xx

With that Awnty business, she was clearly meant to be a southern baby. Maybe there's been a slip-up. :)

Happy belated Birthday to your JB! He looks good!
Your son and little Briony should be on magazine covers; both of them look charming.
