The birthday: driving home, 4th installment

Having spent two nights in a hotel, and two days visiting the grandies, we rose around 6:30, had breakfast, got packed up.

It was a pretty sunrise, through dirty windows.

I don't know what this little light box is, in our bathroom. It acted as a nightlight. The dial turns on the heat lamp. There was no fan.

Lots of road repairs and rebuilding on Moodie Dr.

I might sketch this scene!

Richmond has a large development. The company for whom Caitlin works worked on it!

It is huge, built on fallow fields. Sadly, the homes are VERY close together.

Lots of homes for sale in a row! What with the above development, maybe they are hoping to make a mint from developers?

591 Richmond Rd., Prospect. $619,000, on 21 acres, 1 BR, 1 bath.

Also, 551 Richmond Rd, for $2,279,000. This one has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms on 39 acres.
 Annual Property Taxes
$17,782
551 Richmond Rd

Sunday morning, the family was out feeding the horses in their coats. It was -10 C. at the time.

Why did the turkeys cross the road?

Busy Hydro workers.

On the driveway, our regular 7 male turkeys!

Home and safe

The birthday boy is managing a cold. Hooray for sudafed and Neocitran!
I began coughing Tuesday afternoon, and I've got it, too.

My daughter and her husband lived at Fallowfield Rd. While she was at U. Of O. Their house was surrounded by open fields near the hydro transmission corridor. I don't think I could find their old place. It's probably buried in development, if it is even still there.....25 years has passed.

We finally got the flu shot and are now inoculated against 4 strains. Hopefully, we can miss 5 and 6 when they come along. :)

That's the trouble being around kids with colds - they love to share!!! Still, worth it, I think. YAM xx

The turkeys must have wondered where you were.

I've got a sore throat these days.

I wish both of you a rapid recovery. Colds are very unpleasant.

I hope you get over your cold quickly. Your wild turkeys must be happy that Thanksgiving is over. LOL. They look huge!

Belated happy birthday to the birthday boy! Glad you made it home safely. Some of those house/property prices are crazy! Enjoy your weekend!
