What a surprise: a wedding

Sunday, August 18th

JB went for his morning walk, he met a woman with family looking for a place in town to get married. He kindly gave them a tour of the Tay River and the canal. He explained the 'tow path' that he walks almost every morning, and showed them the highlights. The bride invited him, and me, to the wedding, which was to be at 10 a.m. I got dressed, JB came home, having picked up some flowers, and put on his shirt he'd worn when we got married!

They didn't want photos posted, so here is where they chose to have the wedding! It was wonderful. The bride's brother-in-law translated from Spanish for us, the only anglos there!
There was someone from the house overlooking the dry stone bridge taking a photo of the ceremony!

We gave our felicitations, said our fond goodbyes, and left them to have their picnic. I saw amud dauber hauling off a dead dock spider.

After the ceremony, we zipped out and went to the regatta. On the way, the first house built in Perth!

We left the town and went to the regatta. At home, I managed to put a patio stone under the water barrel.

What a lovely surprise to be invited to that wedding! I'm sure they wanted to thank JB for his kindness.
