Freezing Rain Warning for: Smiths Falls - Perth - Eastern Lanark County
ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 4:48 A.M. EST MONDAY 22 DECEMBER 2014
Summary
A moistening airmass combined with an approaching low pressure system from the American Midwest is forecast to bring some freezing rain Tuesday morning. It will likely begin as some patchy freezing drizzle overnight Monday night. A few hours of light freezing rain is likely Tuesday morning before changing to some rain later in the morning or in the afternoon as milder air arrives.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Freezing Rain Warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather tostorm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.
