Off I went to fetch trailcam videos.
Cinnamon and I went walkies another day. I had frogs to dump in the wetland.
Sunday night, Joseph Brian and two cats watched the games. I'd made them a nice fire, while I watched Christmas movies.
Tuesday morning we had storm warnings. November is always risky for freezing rain. Tuesday morning was cold, at -9 C. and a storm was on the way. The sky was pink at 6:30.
Outdoors, having refilled the bird feeders, I thought I'd harvest some pumpkin seeds prior to a possible snow storm. Do you know what pumpkins are like having been in -8 C. temperatures overnight? Rock hard! I took out my axe! That worked.
We had a storm. There was about 2 cm snow on Tuesday. Joseph Brian gathered flashlights, just in case. Wednesday morning, it switched to rain. We got ready for freezing rain, but it was snow, thankfully.
Yay, winter.

It's starting to bite down here by the Hutch, too... and yet, there are still days with double-figure temps. Crazy... YAM xx
Glad you hacked the pumpkin to warm up your shoveling muscles! Love having lights outside to look at!
Great blog
We recently noticed that someone had left pumpkins by the nearby trail, I guess foe the squirrels.
Thank you for your continuing care of the froggies. Love those lights.
I have a lot of solar lights outside but there hasn't been a lot of sun to charge them up for long and it isn't as strong now as in the summer so the charge doesn't last a long time. I do like looking out at them though.
Yes, snow soon.
I am relieved that you chopped the pumpkin in order to have your shoveling muscles ready.
Yah winter but not that freezing rain stuff.
Yay moon, too. We still have a skiff of snow up here from that drop. And ice on the porch, of course.
Love the thought of the cats snuggling in a sunbeam. My daughter's cats do not get along; no snuggling and intermittent yowling. She may have to separate them. I have offered to take the matriarch. Have not told JG that. Yet. What he has to say may melt the snow.
Thankfully we got only the rain & no freezing rain as forecasted. A warm fire in the fireplace & Christmas movies on sounds a perfect way to welcome winter (yay?? winter).
Your cat looks comfortable. I was surprised that frogs have not gone into hibernation.
Have a nice weekend.
Newboro looks like a fun day! And lots of critters -- even a dinosaur! Love seeing cats look so cozy!
Your Christmas lights are looking pretty :) And your snow, too :) I say that as someone who doesn't get to see much snow.
The cats look comfy.
