Froggies

I spotted 14 frogs in the goldfish pond.  😍

I couldn't help myself. I had to see if I could catch them. These are new ones, for the most part, aside from the skittish ones that dive when they see me on the doorstep! With the warm temperatures, they are sitting on the side of the pond, the air being warmer than the water. Water has temperature inertia, and doesn't warm up as the day does.

I managed to pick out more. It was a balmy 16 C. and raining.

Today is to be as warm. Currently it is 15 C. which is bizarre. I'll bet I can snag some more. In the meantime, bird watching! The hairy woodpecker bullies the blue jay away!

You are a true friend of the frogs!!
Bluejays need a dose of their own bullying behavior.

well I'm glad to know in the pecking order of birds, that someone can bully the blue jays! Never seen a hairy woodpecker that I know of. You are driven, dear frog-saving-lady...I say driven! To save yet another froggie for it's own life! And never thanked...such is frogdom. Now thinking of the Wind in the Willows...wasn't there a frog there somewhere?

I wonder if the frogs you moved are heading back to the pond? I'm sure they aren't but it is funny that you are finding so many.

I love that you keep saving the frogs. Pecking order isn't an empty phrase is it?

Woodpeckers shooing Blue Jays from the feeder reveals a genuine pecking order.

I love the photo of three of them poking their noses out from under the lily pad.
