When we first took in our pair of tabbies (New kittens!!! – Nov., 2019), they were isolated in the spare room until they were acclimatized. That was their safe room, this poor abandoned pair found at the side of the highway. Eventually, they roamed the house. Pets like to sleep on beds!
Annabelle didn't like Nutmeg. They would hop up on our bed at bedtime, and the Annie would go after her. It was female/female aggression. Annie (adopted in 2015) was rehomed. Annabelle tried to stare Nutmeg down, but Meggie ignored her. Annie didn't like this power struggle.

...I don't know much about cat psychology.
They seem to be happy content kitties, having nice beds to sleep in.
Happy Sunday, have a great new week!
Cats certainly have their opinions.
That's cat's for you! They have their own social standards...and some of them are slightly (ha, very) snotty towards others. I love when there is that caring wash between them though.
Cats rule the house. ;-)
I remember those days of internecine warfare.
Cats do indeed like beds and can be quite aggressive in maintaining their favoured position. And chronic bed hogs.
Cats certainly have their own personalities.
The cats are thinking the same thing my great grandfather once said: does the winter ever end in this country?
Poor Nutmeg.
I'm glad Nutmeg is back. Sometimes those emotional wounds take a long time to heal.
Thank you for being a wonderful carer to the animals. It means a lot
I didn't know you had to acclimate a new cat. All that cat drama lol.
