Gramma Camp – Week 33

The monarch caterpillars continue their gymnastics.

Doug the slug was found on the basement window.

I think my planter is overwhelmed. Late May vs. July 10th.

During the week, Cinnamon and I want walkies.
I had to remove cats from the bed, open the window, and close the door. Both Caitlin and JL are allergic to them.

The kids arrived after lunch, unpacked, and the 5 of us went for a swim.

By now, after about an hour in the water, snackies: strawberries, beans, and leftover Turkish pizza!

There are lots of LDD caterpillars on the trees, many more moths. Someone wrapped the trees in burlap.

The cyclists are out and about.

Onward, home. We sat on the back deck while JL went to his happy place, the kitchen, to fashion us a dinner. He was reheating the ham, making mashed potatoes and later, Caitlin did the broccoli.

We watched Thor, with Chris Hemsworth!  JL brought us some yummy potato chips! Grampa read in his office, as this isn't his thing! What a wonderful Saturday visit!

I made a banana loaf, as well. That was breakfast on Sunday!

Banana loaf, I have frozen measured cupfuls ( as suggested on Google) , so I have just the right amount to make a double recipe. Looks so warm, we are having a frost every morning lately, and the fire works overtime, next load of wood coming tomorrow!!!
