Gramma Camp Day 1 & 2!

I'm a happy woman. My computer is back, JB drove to Kingston for it on Thursday. Bless his heart.

Day one – Monday, July 29th

Caitlin drove the girls here. The girls unpacked, and Caitlin visited, and off she went.
Planning, swimming, Sorry, Uno, Grampa and Izzy went shopping for the spaghetti and meatballs dinner. What a day!
We planned some meals, made an activity list.
When they arrived, a comma butterfly had just hatched!

Izzy doesn't like our well water, so grampa got us a water cooler.

Jos finished Grampa's train station log cabin.

Josee has been drawing! Grampa found a frame for the drawing.

Jos and I played Uno and Sorry!

After dinner, we had a visitor.

Both Monday and Tuesday, I told them a 'Gramma Story!' They were camping in our forest, heard scritching at the tent, but it was only Nebuchadnezzar!

Day 2 – Tuesday

Friends are posting cottage visits, with boating photos. I replied that we were 'on the water', too!

Below is a present for Grampa. I'd ordered it months ago. We wrote a poem to give him clues as to where to find it.

In a room we call the suite
There is something you call a treat
Under a place you rest your head
You'll find something that'll be well-read.

He has books one and two, which the girls have been reading. This was a fun surprise, book 3.

Dinner! Jos took these photos.

After dinner, they had another swim. It has been so hot.

Lovely summer activities - and congrats on the computer, though am surprised that Apple couldn't provide a courier delivery service for you. YAM xx

They couriered the battery to the Apple outlet, as it is far too complex to open it up and replace it. They had to remove the keyboard and all off the laptop, Yam. I wouldn't want to touch it!

Josee is a very talented little artist! Hope she gets lots of encouragement. I want those flip flops. Do you suppose they are available in (all be it very small) adult size somewhere?????

Laptop, summer fun, looks like it is so hot up there, we have had cold nights, windy days, and snow north and south of us.

Hooper seems to enjoy the attention.

How fun. Grandkids keep us young -- at least young at heart.
