3. Saturday Queen Elizabeth Park

Our sage continues... Saturday, we went to Elizabeth Park.
1. Off to YVR!
2. Vancouver and kidlets!

Here is Day 3, Saturday, June 2nd.

After morning coffee at Starbucks, we wandered over to the kids' house. Jesse and Cluny were having cartoon time.
It's a terrific co-op. Dorah cat was enjoying the visit, too!

A long night with month-old Bryony, Stacie was upstairs. It ain't easy!

Modern families pump breast milk, and daddies can take a feeding shift. I tried that with my youngest, but he refused the bottle. I was doing my qualifications for special education, two nights a week, and leading a children's choir Wednesday nights, but he refused it!

Cluny and I played around on the iPad for a bit. We had fun! Grampa Joe did some snuggling.

Queen Elizabeth Park

We ventured on a trip to the park. Two cars were required. We were there last time we visited, such a beautiful park. There is nothing better than being with your beautiful family, all together, playing in the park.

Photographic moments were shared by all!

Cluny wanted to visit the Blodel Conservatory, but we stayed outside. That is a rainy or winter day place to visit, the birds are amazing. We went with her in August, 2015, our last visit!

We wondered which family Cluny belonged to!

The woman offered to take our group photo (above)! People are very kind to one another.

Back on the trail.

Love In The Rain - Bruce Voyce Lock sculpture (2016)

This is a lovely piece, commissioned by the Vancouver Parks Board. It is 14' tall.
Couples who fasten their locks onto the sculpture are being asked to drop their keys into an on-site box. They will be recycled or melted down and used in a future sculpture.

Back on the pathway, the flowers are lovely.

Stacie took off to check out the restaurant in the park. Daddy did double duty!

There was lots going on, exercise and wedding photography!

Yes, they are talking to one another on the phone! The restaurant was a bit too nice for our motley crew. We ventured forth. Bryony was quite content! We might as well be relaxed.

Off to White Spot for lunch

There was a half hour wait. Cluny had had a snack at the park, so she was fine waiting. Stacie fed the baby.
Cluny and I play acted,
     "Show me: confused!"
     "Show me: happy!"
     "Show me: sad!"

The drive back to the co-op was amazing, as the mountains always surprise me.

This street is a major bike route.

The area was settled, and homes built, in 1912.

Early to bed, we were still jet-lagged, up at 5 a.m., we read in bed, exhausted!

It's such a beautiful city. If I had to live in a city, I wold want it to be Vancouver, all things being equal that is, although nothing really is never mind all things. :)
