March Weather 2017

March 31st – Snow/rain/snow all day

Mar. 30th –Something big is to arrive!

Mar. 29 – A sunny day! Whoops, sun is gone, again.

However...

Mar. 28th – Horrid storms in Texas, 3mm rain here.

Mar. 26th – Despite freezing rain warnings, plain rain (2mm)!

Mar. 25th – It's going to be a mess

I did something new. I melted the 2cm of snow, and it came out as 7.34 mm (0.29") water. It was interesting!

Both website show that weird u-shape of snow, with rain (green) and heavy rain (yellow/red).

Mar. 24 – Snow, rain 17mm, snow!

What a strange weather day! First, a couple of cm of snow, then pouring rain all day, then snow overnight. What I did was melt the first snowfall, then measured it with the rain. We had 17.3 mm of rain.

March 24, 9:05
what a mess

Mar. 21 – Rain here, snow to the north

This is bizarre... The sun came out, we had 0.02" today.

There was fog in southwestern Ontario, and a fatal crash.

Here, we had a titch of rain, even though they forecast snow on The Weather Network! Accuweather had it right.

Mar. 20

Mar. 18 – A lovely few days!

Something is on the way, though. Just a skiff.

Mar. 15 – Snowmageddon!

We had 15 cm, with drifts up to 35 cm.
Horrific incidents across the region. A truck carrying chemicals crashed. There were 30 vehicles.

Mar. 14 –Snow began around 3:00 a.m.!

The snow plows, on Track My Plow, are working hard!

Mar. 13 – On its way!

Major warnings, of course on a Tuesday. My blog friend, in Iowa, has had 8.8" of snow (~22 cm). You can see the N.A. satellite images!

From NASA!

Mar. 12th – Another warning for a Tuesday!

Mar. 11th –The winds went to the east!

Mar. 8th – winds, power outages, rain or snow

Mar. 7th – Freezing rain, then rain: 12.5mm

Through the eyes of various models! Busses cancelled.

Mar. 4th – back to the deeper deep freeze!

Mar. 7th – What a mess!

Must be Tuesday, busses are cancelled.

Mar. 3rd – Back to the deep freeze

It was sweatshirt weather the first day of March!

Mar. 1st – What a dummy I am!

I knew it was going to rain. Hubby, being a weather fiend knew, and yet I didn't get the rain gauge out until this morning! SIGH. It was raining in the early hours. Needless to say, it was heavy rain!

In the US, there were 21 tornadoes. In Ottawa, IL, a tree fell on one victim. So sad.

March came in like a lion and went out the same way. Even if there were some nice days in the middle they have been overshadowed by the ice and snow. It can only get better, right :)

And so the weather continued. We are in April now, daylight saving ( what a misnomer!!!) stops today, so although I am up and it is 2.17 a.m. right now, ( Woke and couldn't get back to sleep ) really when I put the clock back, it will be 1.17 a.m. I am never sure if I really like the whole idea, guess it gives workers in offices more daylight at either the end or the start of their day!!! Love your weather as it went from 1st to 31st, what will April bring now? Hugs from down below.XXX

The picture with the shattered car windows left me...breathless.
As for crashes and accidents we have quite a lot of them here despite the nice, warm weather. It's just that there are too many cars on a relatively small area.

Well, I hope April brings you a calmer and warmer weather.
