This is the time of year! Our Maggie, who is hanging about with her yearling twins, is a bit fragile. That said, she is pregnant. You can see the baby kicking! I think, rather than being broken, her knee is dislocated. That might explain her longevity. Hard to say. It's been bad since September, 2016, as far as I know. She's managed to evade the coyotes. They can't take down a healthy deer, but this one surely is slowed down.

Here is another one I videotaped three years ago!
Usually, the deer are few and far between in spring, having gone to their summer yards. This could be the same one! We have had one female hang about all summer.

Hello, love the pretty deer. That is cool, you can see the baby kicking from inside. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Well, Congratulations! Hopefully, she and the baby deer will both be OK.
Hope she makes it. And those wood frogs are something else...:)

what a wonderful capture Jenn! YAM xx
Now if you could just come back and do photos of the birth next week....
Poor thing. I hope she delivers safely.
I saw a deer a few years ago that had obviously broken it's leg but the leg had healed and knitted. The leg was much deformed.
Wow! Hope all is well with her.
reminded me of my own pregnancy. :) Thanks!
Interesting video Jenn! Hope all goes well with her.

Oh I hope she escapes the coyotes and delivers those babies soon. I feel for her! (Hard not to anthropomorphize.)
Oh my... I hope she'll be OK. It's amazing that you can see her baby kicking. She must be close to delivering perhaps.
Oh WOW ... amazing.
I do hope all goes well
All the best Jan
