October sights and sounds

The colours are still hanging in. A little delicious morsel for those who know the white stuff is on its way. I love the changes, but the fall colours are eye candy and food for the soul. We took a trip to drop off some of our old clothes to a store selling on behalf of our women's shelter.
We have quite a few seniors in our community, who are increasingly able to keep up their mobility through some wonderful devices. Apparently, the bike lane, until the snow flies, is a good place to be.
We need to name our tree frog. I was thinking something around the Invisible Frog: IFFY. I've pruned some of the plant, put in some water in a dish, and still can't find him. He was singing on Saturday. I put the wasp trap/fruit fly trap in the plant, thinking it might get him in it. We'll see!
Daisy and Annabelle have been having some conflict, although it is lessening. I think Daisy is just plain jealous!

Daisy seems to want to be a turtle for Hallowe'en! She frequently hops up and under my WW I helmet/turtle piece. The head fell off and rusted a few years ago. Hubby took him into the ironworks shop in Bala, and the guys all gathered around to giggle at the art. They repaired turtle's neck for free, as they were so pleased to see it! Annabelle knew Daisy was there somewhere. I think she sniffed her out!

Daisy likes to get under my turtle helmet.

Daisy and I had another wonderful forest walkies. It's such a lovely, colourful canopy, for a little while longer. There is something about that swish of leaves that brings back the sights, smells and, mostly sounds, of fall and childhood.

Something soothing about ambling through the forest, leaves swishing under my feet, waiting for Daisy to finish her business! Good girl.

I like the Autumn colors and leaves! Cute shot of the turkeys crossing the road! Iffy is a cute name for your frog! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

Really enjoyed your forest walk with Daisy video. An absolutely beautiful carpet of golden leaves contrasting with the dark tree trunks. I love the sights, sounds and scents of an autumn bush walk.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's a frog in your house!!! Is there something else making the sound you hear and are looking for?

What was hiding in the tree? I love the sound as Daisy runs in the leaves, and they crunch as you walk.

Of course all those fallen leaves do hamper a kitty's stealth abilities while walking through them!

Heheheh, I'm with Red! Never mind, begonias are among my favourite plants, so am enjoying it's starring role &*> Daisy is so cute...Crikey though, in OZ or UK your 'senior rider' would be getting a police citation!!! Pavement (sidewalk) use only. YAM xx

We have a lot of scooters here in Powell River. This time of year they put on their full plastic enclosures. There's a new sign at the mall, 4 mph speed limit indoors. It may be a joke since it's in mph vs. kph, and because that seems to be a very fast speed to maneuver indoors with lots of other people walking around. - Margy
