Another mystery bird: Yellow warbler!

 The consensus is, Yellow warbler!

Mystery bird 1 from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
In the middle of a wetland, on a trip to Dunrobin. This is its song.
I thought a Baltimore Oriole female or Bobolink, but it is a tiny one. It is so hard to figure them out!

I think they are warblers ... but there are so many species I don't know which one. This site has some photos of warblers that are retuning to Prince Edward County. Perhaps you will find a match there.

The linky button for Our World is hidden behind your picture. Can't click on it. Just wanted to let you know.

Didn't see the link on OUr World Tuesday that you are hosting this week. Did it not work?

The top bird look like a male Yellow Warbler, they have reddish stripes going down their front. Wonderful sighting.

- My apologies for the mess up today.
I am not usually on my computer at the time I have been told to post Mr. Linky (3 p.m.) and since I cannot comment, it is a bit frustrating.

Thank you for the very kind souls who politely explained the error of my ways!
On the other hand, this IS the way to get lots of comments!

Your in a challenging group of birds as far as identification is concerned.

Your bird is beautiful - my favourite shot is the second last with all the tones of green and yellow.

birds have a wonderful happy sound. Did you feel the earthquake Fri morning where you are? I did.

I think it's a yellow warbler.

What a beautiful bird but I've no idea what it is.

What pretty birds and nice shots.

Sorry you're having trouble getting to your computer at the set time.

I can help out if you want. I'm in Europe though so think it might be in the evenings for me? Sometimes I'm away travelling though with work. Can the meme publish automatically?

Perhaps you should open the comments in the Our World meme so that people could leave you a note...

Thank you, Nora!
Christine, I didn't feel the earthquake. My family did, in Ottawa, but I think I was in the car driving to the garden store!
Thanks ladyfi, I have it set to go, usually by Sunday, but I cannot check it until it actually posts. I would rather change the time to a later one, but Sandy tells me it has to be at 3 pm, and I'm just not on the computer then!.

I recently read that these yellow warblers are fairly common here in the Ottawa Valley. I know I hear them but have never seen one. Cornell University has a wonderful site for identifying birds. I wish I could put the link here for you but because I want it NOW I can't find it. (Isn't that always the way things go?)

Looks like a yellow warbler to me too. Nice shots. They're usually too fast for captures.
