How to get a bat out of your house!

It was up above the stairs that lead down to the basement.
I used a butterfly net. It wasn't long enough, so I taped it to a yard stick.
Then, you grab a magazine and pop it over the opening to keep it in the net.
Next, I put it outdoors in the tree house! I didn't realize they were so soft and furry!
It was hissing and showing its teeth, but not when I was taking its photo!

Our bats seem to have disappeared. We used to be able to go out just after sunset and see bats.

These are great pictures of your bat. Can't imagine coming in my house and finding one like that. We used to have bats flying around at night when we first moved into the neighborhood but they disappeared long ago.

Wow! That's amazing! You have nerves of steel. We're supposed to have fruit bats in Hawaii, but I've never seen them.

Poor lil thing! It was more scared than you were. Love bats, but not in my house. Missed a half-day of work once years ago because one flew in the (attached) greenhouse window just as I was leaving. Couldn't go and leave it in there. (Boss probably didn't think much of my excuse.)

We had a bat in the apartment, shortly after we were married... I made husband deal with it, while I kept the cats in the other room...
