I don't know who remembers phoebe from last year.

This phoebe hit the window last year. |
phoebes
built their nest in the tree house!

Nest building time! |
I had to block the doorway and put up chicken wire to keep the dang cats out.
This year, they've chosen the shed (see the final photo!). A much better placement, and hopefully above the reach of the kitties, all four of them.

Isn't it beautiful? Lots of soft, damp moss. |

Nice placement! |

S/he was upset with me! |

Handsome bird |

Kept looking over its shoulder at me! |

So tough to capture an inflight photo! |

I just love the phoebe? phoebe? phoebe! tweet. It really says "spring" to me.
Beautiful bird and great nest builders!
Sure hope the phoebes are safe this year and have a happy family and come back again next year.
Is that what they look like!! I hear them all the time! Looks like a much safer home this summer!
They are back nesting right over my front door again. It's a bit of a nuisance, but we let them have one litter then we discourage them.
Phoebes are often overlooked because they are so very quiet. I see very few here.
I guess they know that you will take care of them!
What a sweet little bird. I have never seen a phoebe.
How wonderful to have them nesting so near!
How lovely.
It looks like they've chosen a better plot this year.
Very sweet post. Thanks for this.
By the way, could I please have the details of the architect who designed your shed. It's grander than my home.
Have a nice week.

Wonderful shots of your birds!
The phoebe is a sweet bird. Lucky you to have them nesting nearby! Great post.
Hi! Very fantastic photos. Thank you for sharing.
Very sweet!
Have a great Tuesday. ☺
Great series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Fantastic posting, thanks for sharing.
Those phobes are inquisitive little birds. When it starts to get too hot in my Retreat I leave the door open - and before I know it a couple of these characters will fly inside just to check things out. Need I say I spread all sorts of seed outside for them. :))
