Wednesday Warnings

Outdoor Wednesday Muskoka warning:OutdoorWednesdaylogo5

Watch out for tourists & babies (it's Market Day),

Gorgeous pottery by Hyrnyk. Pots at kellyb.

Karla, at Spill the beans, has a new muffin mix, and babies and dogs and people filled their bags with food.

quiche and cherry tomatoes

crows & bears (it's garbage day),

(The bear crossed the road in front of us - galloped- I might add. Then turned around and gave us a dirty look for being on the road!)

The truck behind us couldn't figgur out why we were slowing down, but like the moose and deer that like human highways, it really destroys the car, as well as the wildlife.

They say not to brake for small animals, or veer, as you could hit another car and have a horrible accident. I know that in 2006 we lost one of our finest to a moose accident. There is a beautiful memorial plaque to him at the Hardy Lake Trail on highway #169 north of Gravenhurst. Another reason to slow down on our roads. The animals are active.

and frost tonight
- but it is June!!!

I took the photo this a.m., my own dubious daughter! It was headed toward Muldrew Lake.
It was just north of Gravenhurst, about 9:30, oh she of little faith!

Hi, Jenn! I'm so glad you joined us. It's hard for me to believe there's frost anywhere when we have heat! LOL! Love all of your wildlife, and that bear is something else. Loved your post.

Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Now that's one animal I probably won't see around here. There is a bank being built across the street though, so a lot of wildlife are finding their way to my backyard!

Lovely bear. I've not seen one for a couple of summers as I have been staying closer to home and we've none here. OK, there was one last summer. I suspect it was someone's pet that got away and fled into the local conservation area. It got a one way trip someplace north.
