Last night the overnight temperature was 20 C., after a day temperature of 34 C., it was gruesome for a first day of school in Ontario. Here are our teenage grandies in 2022 compared to 2023.

I had friends while I was sitting on the back deck in the soft, gentle breeze.
Tree frog #1 likes to sit in between the slats of my Muskoka chair. I pull the leg support out, and hope it'll jump down safely, and not get squished.
Froggie #1 got tired of the action. He just wanted to sleep. It took off and went to hide in the hops vine. Can you see it on the railing?
I sat and watched. It moved around, then moved in fits and spurts over the the post, where it must have felt safe. It ate an ant crawling by, which was unusual. Then it went back to sleep.

I had trouble videotaping froggie #2. It was steamy and it fogged up the camera lens. He began singing, then promptly lay his chin down to sleep.

It was there the next day, too!
Then the two of them began hanging out on the bench. When the time comes, they will hunker down and bury themselves under the leaves to sleep away the cold winter. I shall miss them! In the meantime, we've two more days of this heat.

...your granddaughter are quite the young ladies!
Such cute little things.
Cute little tree frogs. Just adorable. You attract the most unusual creatures, Jenn.
They have been singing me off to dreamland the past few nights.
Never have enjoyed watching frogs (as they cope with the heat) more!
Thanks! I love seeing the frogs :) We have them here, of course, but never on our little patio.
Hi Jenn, and ugh on those high temperatures. We are getting the same here. Wishing the girls a very happy school year! That little frog is very sweet. You got some great pictures of it.
The girls are maturing before your eyes.
Love the frogs and am very glad that splat wasn't the definitive one - my heart was in my mouth.
You are raising a good crop of grandees and I love seeing your land and hearing what's going on. Bless you Jenn Aloha
Aw such sweet porch buddies! I have to confess that sleeping away the cold winter you have up there would be kind of tempting to me! Enjoy the warm days you have left!
Very little froggy action here.
Love the frog adventures.
Your granddaughters are lovely young ladies!
Cute frogs!
Take care, have a great day!
Your little froggies enjoy your friendship, care and concern! Much better than out in the dangerous world! Linda in Kansas

All the best Jan
The frogs are very cooperative for the camera.
