🇺🇦 Ajuinnata, Canada! Ajuinnata, Ukraine!🇨🇦 ❤️

President Zelenskyy visited Canada, where he and his wife, Olena Zelenska, were shown much love and support. Not only that, but many Ukrainians live in Canada. Some have citizenship, others are here until the war is over, in safety. He was warmly welcomed by our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and our Deputy Minister, Christia Freeland, is fluent in Ukrainian. Many traveled kilometres to witness this.

Media interviewed one young lady after the reception, an immigrant from Ukraine, who said she and her mother attended a stand up night where President Zelenskyy performed a routine, well before he was president. She approached the stage and gave him some flowers. She was just about in tears, with joy.

 🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini !🇨🇦 ❤️

P.S. I never thought to post that information, Barb. Our GG is Inuk! She is the first Indigenous person to hold the office.  Some people were ticked off that she couldn't speak French, only English, and taught Inuit at university.

" Don't give up, stay strong against all odds".What an historic occasion and none better than Christia Freeland to join in welcoming the Ukraine President to Canada. And to add to the world news, the curling team from New Zealand are in northwest Calgary,( a request for accommodation was shared on Facebook) staying in a retirement residence for their accommodation while they practice for the World Men's Championship 2024 and then the 2026 Olympics. the team share 2 apartment units, and talk to the residents. It seems friendship comes in so many places. It was on the CBC news.!!!

Wonderful word for all of us. What is her (the Governor General's) language from? That's because I keep running into hispanic words where "j" is pronounced "h". Just wondered. So glad Canada welcomed them...the Republicans are trying to not give any more aid to Ukraine. The selfish pigs.

I'll have to tell Joe, Jean. He is a curling fanatic!

An inspirational leader. Sadly a rare beast.

Zelensky is an amazing leader and has really grown into the job and beyong.

Many of my MAGA friends are mad at him still for not playing ball with our former president.

btw, my wife and I are hooked on Professor T. What a great series.

I certainly like the support we are giving to the Ukraine. Our family came from the Ukraine around 1900 although we were German.

...I worry if the GOP wins, I doubt if they will support Ukraine.
