I'm still sprucing things up!

I put my mind to it and summoned up the energy to spruce up the sidewalk. The lilies and other plants are spreading like mad. All the plants were leaning in, crowding the path, so I just ripped them out. Putting them under the spruce tree, I realized I had to clean up there, again! I even trimmed a few branches off the bottom for more air circulation.

So, spruce tree before (it wore me down!), and after, trimming #3. Minus some lower branches.

The beauty of 16 acres, is finding places to put garden stuff. I trimmed the pine on the left, as well. The branches are so low I worry about whacking myself in the head when doing the lawn.

Now that we've spruced up the driveway, we cannot use it yet. JB went into the market, walking 5 minutes to the car, driving into town, and then he phoned me when he was coming home. I put the wheelbarrow down there, in order to bring our loot back to the house.

I decided to spruce up the ashleaf/box-elder maple, at least that's what I think it is! It had a bit of damage from all of our big trucks.

ashleaf/box-elder maple, I think

Before and after!

This is the full extent of my veggies this year: cherry tomatoes ripe for the picking, hanging on the front deck!

It is interesting. Nutmeg was stretched out on the nice flat asphalt in the shade. Cinnamon chose to roll around in the dirty gravel! He looked quite insulted that I laughed at him, too!

Happy leopard froggie. There is a green frog, as well.

After all that work, I was happy to have a shower. Then, my shoulder blade was itchy. I scratched it before looking at it, and found a nymph under my fingernail. Another tick. We just treated the cats with Bravecto.

I've been complaining a lot about the LDD moths. Here are some lovely little cabbagey mothy things. If you look closely in the 2nd photo...  they are mating.

Cinnamon and I went down to the trailcam. I was really happy to see Butch raccoon and her three kits.

I think you may have overcome that sickness that you had awhile ago. :)
