We were on our way to Almonte, we drove through Perth, then stopped off along the way at the Carleton Place art show. Before we left, I did a walkabout, and spotted Maggie, still pregnant, across the road.
The canoe club is a lovely setting.
Note the colours of the trees. They are still, many of them, in buds, not yet in full leaf. The season is so short!
Lunch at the pub in Almonte, note the umbrellas on the patio. It was the perfect day for it. The place was packed. The Almonte dam rebuild is coming along, I've been documenting its build for posterity.
Local towns have put in some of the lovely Canada 150th tulips. The drive home was interesting.
Hubby didn't see the cyclist, only the woman driving entirely in our lane!

Looks like a fine outing. Springtime is such a lovely, fleeting season. We must enjoy it while we can.
Her art looks pretty good.
pretty images of what looks to be a very fun day!!!
In Spring evertything looks lovely: colors, nature (trees, flowers, water..), people, animals, buildings. Your pictures well reflect this loveliness.
Barb is quite talented!
There were a lot of Canada 150 tulips in the festival this year- and they seemed to be among the last to bloom.
It's a very nice day to be out.
I spotted the "150 Canada" tulips there, or is it " Canada 150" tulips? Did you hear about the 500 bulbs that came from P E I, and a moose came in and chewed the whole lot down to the ground??? I cannot remember where they had been planted, but what a loss. Lovely day out, and super art.
Beautiful scenery, wildlife, and a lovely art show -- what more could anybody want from an outing!!
Looks a great outing.
Enjoyed your photographs.
All the best Jan
