The last of January photos: a hodge podge

"Young buck" is first, as we call him. His antlers look a bit the worse for wear. They should have been shed by now.
You can see ice fishing huts on the sort-of frozen Ottawa River. We drove into Dunrobin to buy a piece of furniture from a friend.
Someone's skating rink looks quite wet, too.
And the sunset on the drive home...

I haven't seen any deer for a while so I'm not sure of the state of the antlers. I see tracks through the yard but they are at night.

I'm surprised those antlers are still in place. Can't be much longer now.

We've been excited to see "our" deer making their presence known after hunting season finally ended Jan. 2. We have seen as many as nine at once and it's good to know that many survived the hunters. Yours are very handsome and larger than ours (South Carolina, US).
