Bala Falls Hydro Project #28

They started this protest in 2004. It continues in 2016.
Sadly, there are too many amateurs pretending to be journalists, making money with cheap ads, and cheap writing. There is much venom and propaganda in the NIMBY population in Bala.

This is a terribly biased 'article' by someone pretending to be a journalist, when it is pure propaganda.

Sadly, there are too many amateurs pretending to be journalists, making money with cheap ads, and cheap writing.  Protestors fail to appreciate that Council represents all parties, businesses, and taxpayers.
For example...

Why is the opposition and concerns from the public including
businesses being ignored?
Don Furniss – I continue to work on the best long term benefits for
all the people and businesses of Bala and the Township. Unfortunately
a small minority do not see it from my perspective and fan the fires
of disruption, misinformation, intimidation and discontent, as they
have for the past decade or more.
Not so much an interview,as a confrontation
As one person wrote:

I would suggest that the leading questions and final insinuations be reviewed by readers with a 'consider the source' mindset- not as a unbiased 'report' from a professional journalist.
Mayor Furniss deserves more respect from the public, media and council in these difficult times. There is more to Muskoka Lakes than Bala's north dam and the sooner council is allowed, by both a minority of councilors and STBF in all forms, to move on to other pressing issues the better.
