When the kids were young, we had a pair or budgies: Tina and Sargeant. I saw this how to draw video, below, then tried another. It was fun!
See more at Paint Party Friday (PPF)!
The actual artists call my sketches 'whimsical.' I like that. I found Dea Lenihan's HOW TO video and tried it. Sadly, I began too close to the edge of the paper. I'm such a dork! :-)
My 2nd attempt was more realistic, and done over a couple of days.
You can find a HOW TO video for everything!!!
You can choose: a cartoon or more realistic figure. I had fun and it was good inspiration!

Lovely drawings! My parents had a budgie for a few years. The only things i can really draw though are bunnies
Such sweet birds! Your drawings are spectacular!
Ah, so you've come across Dea as well!
Jennifer this is so awesome! It's so true you can actually learn to become a pretty good artist through the Internet these days. I love both of your pictures and on there more realistic one you even did perspective which is the bane of my existence! Such good stuff !! XO Thanks so much for sharing and linking you are so great!
sweet budgies Jenn! It's true that you can find information and techniques so readily anymore. My family had budgies growing up and some of them even talked:)Happy PPF!
The video makes it look so easy, I will give this a definite miss. and stick to photos and quilting. Where is that new " ARGO"???
Hi Jennifer! Yes I now believe there is a video for anything...how to draw a bungie, too cute. I hope the big storm heading north in the USA is not going to threaten Cananda. Happy PPF week. Stay warm and dry and keep on creating!
William Kendall you were my first follower! xo
