What we learnt and practised years ago is never lost, I enjoy research, books, stitching, reading and cryptic crosswords, maybe starting doing them with my Mum when still at primary school. ( not 12 years old) Mum had the most marvellous generosity and will-power, together with a brilliant mind. I was allowed to fill in the words I managed to work out, in pencil, then Mum followed on later. What a sacrifice, this would have been a highlight in her week, the arrival of " The Listener", and now on a Monday when it is on the shelves, a highlight for me too. Love your life cycle maps, and monarch laid to rest. Lovely story, Hugs, Jean.
My dad made my mom and me wire cages so we could hatch butterflies in the classroom. Like you, I would map the life cycle. Even first graders loved it. - Margy

I used to have picture sequencing of different life cycles and used it for language development.
I've done similar things in school myself.
