We went to the beach, again. Another wonderful

hot August day. The day before they'd had the Regatta. The garbage cans were dressed up.
The place was incredibly clean. It was wonderful.

I prefer a canoe, myself! |
We could hear the boats, but did bother visiting this year.
I'd seen it last year.

It must cost a bundle |

It's a big community of people camping over the weekend |

They must pack for days! |

An incongruous picture of life on the lake |
By the time we visited, things were back to normal, with the loons bothering the headless heron.

She only looks headless! |

She was grooming! |
Boats, birds, sun and fun.

Pretty quiet |

what happy summer pictures you have shared. Thanks. Hope life is treating you well these days. Hugs
Oh, and the noise from those overpowered boats racing! I used to see them on Lake Okanagan when I was young. Don't miss them at all.
I miss going to the beach, though. There isn't really a beach near here, and with it turning out Lindy doesn't want to swim, we haven't gone looking for one. Besides, Dick tans but I burn, even with sunscreen.
So it's wonderful to look at your photos and remember when summer meant going to the beach.
Thanks!

I hate to be a pessimist but this fine summer fun is coming to an end.
Red, you and I know, being of a certain age, that ALL summer come to an end.
I'm all for living in the moment!

Bats are always so cute looking, but man they can create havoc - and mess! Bat house eh? Like a pigeon coop or dovecot is it? Need to read up on those! YAM xx
That is so fun with the little granddaughters..... it's wonderful that it was so clean on your beach, especially after a big celebration the day before.
