Trip around S.E. Ontario: Gananoque, Mallory town and Rockport

There are many beautiful places to visit in Ontario. We went through Escott, to Furnace Falls park, Rockport, and Gananoque. There is something about being near the water in the summer that warms the cockles of your heart.

Furnace Falls Park

Visited the Eagle Point winery
Winery was a horse farm!

Very busy spot, with Thousand Isl. boat rides

I like murals!

Despite the bike path, one old dude was on the highway!

Someone on their way to water play!

I love the bike path, but a golf cart?

Eagle's Nest

It's not my idea of a great cottage -
but paradise for some one!
Isn't this the coolest coffee bar ever?!

Okay, I've changed my mind about the Thousand Island tour, but I'd love the Socialist Pig Coffee House. I sent my young brother an "invitation" because I thought he'd like the bicycle-powered music announcement on there. Not that he's anywhere near Gananoque, but he will enjoy the idea.
Meanwhile, I enjoyed your photos!

Nice part of Ontario we rarely get to.

Super tour. You are fortunate to have many lakes. This part of Alberta has very few lakes. I've toured Ont. twice and yes I did enjoy the lakes.

I love me a lake house - but that island is riding a tad low in the water even for Wild YAM!

Fantastic use of old books - well done the coffee shop.

...and how's about that mural, eh? Tremendous work.

Gotta get myself to Canada one of these years, preferably this side of the 60th! YAM xx
