Saturday's Critters

 Our deer trio, Momma and twins, resting and chewing their cud. This was prior to our 11 cm snowfall on Thursday.

Feb. 10th, dawn rose on disabled Duke and Archie.

The silly Wingscapes camera captures a deer!

Our turkey, Archie, is a hoot. Feb. 10. Down in the forest:

Por Duke, with his broken or dislocated ankle, is quite hungry. This is all the foliage that is around these winter days, cedar branches.

They always pee in front of the camera! They are beautiful animals.

The forest can be dangerous!

Lastly, the fisher. Feb 9 - 10, it runs by, and has a brief wash up!

Well, now you know the fisher is a male. I do wonder how Duke will survive. It's sad to have a wild animal with an injury. Archie is definitely enjoyable to watch. I wonder what that feathery thing is that hangs from his breast...if I ever knew I don't remember!

Hello Jenn :=)
Lovely shots of the deer taken before the snow fall. What is a Fisher? It looks a bit like a Beaver! I laughed when you wrote that deer always pee in front of the camera, and wrote they are beautiful animals. I don't doubt your sincerity but it just seemed funny.:=)
All the best
Sonjia.

Poor Duke, although he did grab the branches fairly well.

Who was chasing who in that video?

AMazing to have a fisher in your backyard -- and a little scary for your pets I imagine.
