Wood ducks in the yard!
I've been following the ducks down on the pond. We have three nesting duck boxes I hope will be filled. We have had some rain. There was a little river running down from the driveway. Somebody yelled at me to come look out the kitchen window!

I don't think I ever see anything other than mallards.
You yard is constant entertainment. Quite a handsome visitor today.

I wonder if wood ducks prefer country settings. I can only recall ever seeing one in the city.
Wonderful! I have seen wood ducks in the city a couple of times but to have them wandering around the yard is incredible!
I have never seen a wood duck. they are here but not many.
