A whirlwind visit!

It was a lovely visit. The kids go back to school on Monday. They popped over for a visit. It's been horribly cold, and we didn't venture out to play this time.
We had an indoor project: a kit I bought at our bird seed store. First, we paint the hummingbird's body. This required a paint shirt!
Izzy used a pencil to outline the colours, and labeled them with the colours she would use.

Annabelle loves Caitlin's purse!

Jos read, while Momma, Izzy and I played SKIP-BO. Hooper is wrestling with the idea that the table is a kitten place. I have fond memories of playing this game every Tuesday afternoon with a client.

Once dried, some assembly is required, as well as a hammer and a glue gun. I did that part!
Grampa was doing dishes! I'd made us bacon and eggs for brekkie.

The wings whirl! (Get it?!) It hangs, from an eye hook. It's a clever project.

We had entertainment in between. The turkeys visited the front feeders. They are chest-deep in snow!

Gracious! You get giant turkeys, we only get chickens all over the place.

Your hummingbird project looks like so much fun!
