September critters

I noticed a small milkweed plant in front of the house. Upon closer inspection...

Then, there is Daisy Ding Bell.

Horse chestnut tree is producing nuts, although the leaves are going south for fall.

Annabelle

Cicada, with a lovely green tinge in its wings.

Dorah is in heaven. She's found two snakes, just babies, in a couple of days. They are ribbon snakes, and they were only about 20cm/8" long.

A Monarch chrysalis already? Daisy, you are a hoot!!! Snakes, even small would be so scary.

Neat collection of critters. I found the translucent wings on that cicada especially interesting...:)

Hello, I love all the caterpillars. I wish I had some milkweed growing here. The snake looks like the one I stepped on, on my driveway. Cute frog. Doria is a sweetie. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

A bunch of fine shots but Daisy and Annabelle steal the show. The bell shot is hilarious.
