Paint Party Friday the 13th

Now, as all know, we've had terrible luck with appliances, pet issues, and other things in the house. Friday the 13th doesn't scare me. I hope the rest of the month isn't so awful.

His lovely wife took off for her activity, and we chatted. While he napped, I did a drawing. Then he awoke, and I did another. My clients like anything new, and are a pretty captive audience for my wee sketches. I enjoy our chats. I explained to him, using my rusty sign language (he is most patient and a good teacher) that I do these drawings and mail them to the grandkids who are supposed to put them on their fridges!

When I took sign language at a community college in 1979-ish, I further explained that our deaf teacher would take us to the deaf community parties. They were much fun, with interpretation for us newbies, much joy and laughter.

The drawing was based on something in their home (see the photo below). Their home reminds me of my old childhood home in downtown Toronto. It was a lovely relaxing afternoon. I needed this. I also need to feel useful!

Someone to love; something to do; something to hope for!
