We held a wonderful weekend sleepover!

The grandkids are always excited to sleep over, and they bring mummy and papa. It is heartwarming. They have interesting lives, and are busy with all sorts of fun activities. They do yoga, Brownies, and have a busy social life, with good friends and marvellous fun. It's a blessing when they take time out for us oldies!

Saturday they came over, after Isabelle's skiing lesson and a morning on the hills. They just made it before the freezing rain. Lunch (sandwiches & veggie tray), mushy cat, art, and some Wild Kratts (educational DVD) meant fun ensued. We also watched the first Harry Potter movie. Josephine just finished reading the book, they read a chapter a night at bedtime. We hadn't seen the movie, although a student teacher of mine used the book for a novel study one year! I did have to remind her that Harry wasn't a real person! Her entire cohort was quite into the book.

We did some dancing in the living room! This is a really fun anti-bullying video, posted by our local school board (UCDSB). We watched it on my laptop. I made a lot of videos when I was teaching. We got into groups, then created our own dances, while other groups videotaped us.

Sunday they left in good time as they were doing bubble soccer, as part of Caitlin's team building at work. Here is a sample video from Australia. They were, of course, doing it indoors at a high school!
There being much snow outside here!

The cats must need a bit of time to get used to the extra volume coming from kids!

It's a real treat for you to have these kids once in a while. Kids these days are incredibly busy.

I am thinking Annabelle looks like she's gonna challenge for her place on that chair! Hehehe - good times for you all. Treasurable new memories formed. YAM xx

I agree with Yamini about Annabelle and the chair. I take it, however, to mean she is becoming as used to the girls as the other cats are.
That bubble soccer photo, I have to admit, brought on a bout of claustrophobia and some difficulty with my breathing. Amazing how a picture can do that.
Meanwhile, I'm glad a good time was had by all.
Luv, K

I'm envious that you get to have the grandkids over. Sigh. The bubble soccer looks like fun and it looks safer... I think.

What great fun activities. I'm quite sure that the girls don't feel like they are 'making time' for you -- on the contrary I'm sure it is a highlight. Love the memories you are creating.
