Peekaboo 'Dratted Red Squirrel!'

That's what we call him/her! Dratted Red Squirrel. The cats get so upset when they see it. They are very pretty, if rather aggressive!
They hide out when the cats come by, in the hole! The vertical bars are the porch railing. It's been hard getting a good photograph. I'm working on a video, from the Trailcam! They are so funny!

The hole runs under the snow, up beside the dragon. Then they run to the trees.
They've dug a hole.
You can just see it above the sidewalk.

Too cute!

There's an expression in Dutch, and I think I've got the spelling right: kleine doevel. It means little devil.

No, it's duivel!

Red Squirrels are aggressive and the females get extremely nasty when they are defending their territory.

Your red squirrels appear to be rather large and closer in appearance to the invading grey squirrel here in UK. The native red squirrel is rather small, and has enormous ear tufts! No less fun to watch though, if they can ever be spotted... YAM xx

Those squirrels are so pretty. I had no idea they could tunnel into the snow.
